A native Californian.  Growing up in the San Francisco Bay area, art became his passion from a very young age.  Studying music and art in college, Davie has evolved from a mostly self-taught figurative artist to his now favorite style of contemporary painting.  Contemporary art allows the artist to be free of shapes and forms, and it allows for a freedom of interpretation by the observer.  
The artist enjoys renderings of the human figure which he considers abstract and contemporary in its natural form. When painting abstracts, his approach is somewhat spontaneous.  He begins a piece then allows the image to metamorphically appear. Color choice depends on his mood.
